Newly developed and made in Germany these Premium Quality HSS drill bits are hard and much more resistant to heat than high carbon steel. They can be used to drill large varieties of woods such as softwood, hardwood, and laminated boards.
The spiral (or rate of twist) in the drill bit controls the rate of the chip removal. A fast spiral (high twist rate or "compact flute") drill bit is used in high feed rate applications under low spindle speeds, where removal of a large volume of wood is required. Chip removal is fast and efficient.
